On Monday November 15th 2004 the Crossroads Network was launched to bring all the major Crossroads websites together with one forum and webring. The united forum was part of the 40th anniversary celebrations for the serial. Previously there had been four forums, Planet Crossroads' being the most successful. There was also a Crossroads 2003 & Beyond message board, a Crossroads Online forum and the Fan Club Forum. The network launched to provide one single forum for all the Crossroads websites rather than have numerous message boards. Originally the brown look of the Fan Club Forum was used for the new Crossroads Network.
Within the first two weeks 32 members joined the forum - and over 1500 messaged posted. Disaster struck on November 29th when the Crossroads Network Forum was erased in an error that was beyond our control. However the team made the best of a terrible situation and a new higher quality forum, a news site and mailing list replaced the old. Planet Crossroads' forum had been the most popular prior to the Crossroads Network launch and so the network decided to style the replacement message board in red and blue to look similar to Planet Crossroads' style. Over those early years the board became the most popular Crossroads debate forum anywhere online. A real Crossroads community grew through the uniting of the websites.

In December 2007 yet again a hosting company let the network down and the forum was, once more, wiped. This time taking thousands of topics containing lots of useful facts and information with it. However it is a testiment to the dedication of the regulars at the message board that within less than a year over two years worth of previous posts were recreated and information restored. As of December 2010 the forum has over 3000 members and over 65500 posts in 1992 topics.
Since 2006 the Crossroads Network patron has been one of the major stars of the serial from 2001 to 2003, Cindy Marshall-Day. Cindy played the wonderfully glam, yet troubled, Tracey Booth who became one of the most popular and much loved characters in the new series.
